Spoiler: click to toggle Warriors have to make sacrifices. Goku's made enough already. It's Oob's turn, and it's not like he'd be training forever. Goku was away from his family for about 9 years total, and I doubt training Oob would take that long. Oob can sacrifice a little to gain a lot.

Oob wasn't even in the orignal plans for EoZ, from what I remember. He was added in at the last second, and he's not a very good character either. Meh. |

Uub's a 10 year old boy, Goku is a grown man. Big difference when it comes to being half way across the world without your family. |

Gohan did it when he was 4 and he didn't even want to be a fighter. Oob could do it at 10 if he really wants to be a fighter. |

And Chichi wasn't exactly happy about it :P Plus Gohan was born in a family of fighters where that kind of thing isn't very out of the ordinary. Still a bad thing to happen but Chichi's used to it. I'm just talking from Uub's parents perspective, I just can't imagine they'd let their son (Who they don't know is an incredible fighter, just a good one by human standards) live half way across the world with people they don't know. |

Wait, what? They have to know that he's an good fighter. He said that was the best fighter in is village. IIRC, he wasn't going to live there. He only came to the tournament to get money. Goku takes him back to his village at the end of Z, lol. They're going to train in his village. |

I can agree with this, but I'd say Pan had much more potential to continue Goku's legacy (Not counting crappy GT Pan). |

Goku never truly sacrificed short of his two deaths and staying with Kami. He went on adventures for Goku. He chose to stay on Yardrat for a year over being with his family. He chose to stay dead for 7 years over returning and making sure Gohan got even stronger so there would never be a threat to challenge them and in the process he fd up Vegetas psych for a bit too by staying dead. He chose to run off with Uub when he had IT. He's the guy who chooses not come to the get together a because he's busy, when even Vegeta and Piccolo begrudgingly make it. He was perfectly content letting Gohan raise Goten and having Chi Chi be a single mom most f Gohans life. He's a free spirit that doesn't like to be tied down. |
